St. Mary’s Food Bank
The food bank was established in 1975. Food is donated by parishioners, various organizations, or is purchased from Foodshare with donated funds. It is stocked by volunteers, and volunteers distribute food to clients. Each holiday, the church also prepares and delivers baskets to needy families.
If you would like to volunteer or donate food or funds, please contact the Parish Office at 860-289-7916
St. Mary’s food bank is located in the hall at 30 Maplewood Ave. and is currently open for food requests or to receive donations at these times:

St Christopher/South Congregational Combined Foodbank
St Christopher/S. Congregational Food Pantry has existed for well over 35 years. The Pantry is run by volunteers from both church communities. We service families in the greater Hartford area, but most of our clients and families live in East Hartford. We receive food donations at St Christopher Church or at the Pantry on the dates we are open.
We support families with special offerings on Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays
We are open 2-3 Tuesdays per month, from 12-1, and those dates are published in our Parish Bulletin.
